Rihan is passionate about the music, culture, and languages of the Middle East and is excited to share that passion with her students. She loves all kinds of Middle Eastern music, and is particularly fond of the oud.
Rihan began dancing with Sahara in 2006 and has studied with Jennifer, Rachel Kay Brookmire, and other founding members of Sahara dance. She has also been fortunate enough to work with other great instructors such as Karim Nagi, Sahra Saeeda, Outi of Cairo, the National Folkloric Troupe of Tunisia, and Mohamed el Sayed. She has completed the Sahara Dance Foundations Teacher Training program and Sahra Saeeda’s Journey Through Egypt 1 and 2.
In addition to fun and a sense of joy, Rihan hopes that belly dance gives students confidence, a way to relax, and a sense of community.
