Sahara Dance

Our Faculty

Many years ago, in a land far away a young lady searched for a hobby to keep herself entertained… She picked up a local paper and came across an ad for a belly dance class. Ten minutes in, Ramona was hooked even though she was just watching. (She went home and used an old curtain as a veil that very night!!)

The addiction to belly dance grew from that first night with Kismet dance in Miami, to extensive study with Bozenka and Virginia and workshops with world-renowned teachers such as Jillina, Nourhan Sharif, Raqia Hassan, Yousry Sharif, and Aziza. Ramona now dances with Raqs Caravan East.

Many years and two kids later, she still loves the dance just as much as that first night. Although she has been dancing since 2000, she is delighted to be a perpetual student and strives to get as many people hooked on belly dance as she can!
