Seeking to develop and elevate Middle Eastern dance as a theater performance art, Sahara Dance produces several annual theater productions highlighting both traditional and experimental belly dance.

Impressions of Egypt

"Impressions of Egypt" presented Raqs Sahara and Sahara Tribal in repertoire choreographies and soloists in an evening of interpretive dance to modern and classical Egyptian music...

In Celebration of Women

Co-produced with Raqs Sahara, "In Celebration of Women" is an annual fundraising event held to benefit the Tahirih Justice Center, a non-profit organization that provides access to justice to women and girls fleeing from gender based violence.

Raqs Caravan Student Showcase

The Raqs Caravan Student Showcase features ensemble pieces by student companies, Raqs Caravan East and Raqs Caravan Wes, and Raqs Caravan student soloists.

Sahara Dance Summer Student Showcase

The Summer Student Showcase features ensemble pieces by student companies, Raqs Caravan East and Raqs Caravan West, and new works created and performed by student soloists who have completed the 13-week Developing Choreography for Middle Eastern Dance class.

Saharabesque!

"Saharabesque!" is an annual Sahara Dance production featuring Raqs Sahara's fusion repertoire in a theater laboratory format. Featuring guest artist, Rachel Brice, Raqs Sahara principal dancers present Eastern movement to Western musical compilations.

Sahara Dance's 2nd annual Student Gala staged and produced at the Greenberg Theatre, featured more than 100 performers, Raqs Sahara and internationally renowned artist, Amar Gamal.
