Sahara Dance Hafla

There was a tremendous turnout for last night’s Student Salon / Hafla Dance Party. I spent most of the evening by the door welcoming friends, so I (sadly) didn’t get to watch most of the class performances or any of the solo performances. We tried to video tape as much as we could, so hopefully I’ll be able to go back and watch the performance footage. Big thanks to Bex, Kelly, Melinda, and Alexis, who brought the party to me over by the door.

I took my leave of the door to rush in for my class performance. There were a lot of us there! I tried to slip in to the back row, but Sarah pushed me out in front next to Allyson. I couldn’t see anyone from the front, so I just danced the choreography and hoped that I was in sync with everyone else. I was definitely nervous, but it was great fun performing, and it helped a lot to have friendly and familiar faces in the front row cheering us on.
