What is your role within the Sahara Dance community? Studio Assistant, student

Childhood ambition: grow up and leave home

First job: delivering 1,000 newspapers a day in a VW beetle

What’s playing on your iPod or CD player? country (usually), classic rock (sometimes)

Indulgence: my craft, safety pins and beads

What’s your favorite belly dance moment or experience? my husband’s face when he saw my new harem costume

Current inspirations: my instructor, Jennifer, of course!

What is your dance background? very little, just going to bars, getting drunk and acting stupid (in my younger days!)

How did you get interested in belly dance? a book I was reading about a belly dancer, a “big” birthday, and a need for exercise that was fun, not work.

Finally, what do you love most about Sahara Dance (other than Hip Talk, of course!)? It’s a fun way to exercise and meet new people.
