Things are moving right along, and we will soon be moving classes into the new studio! But first, we need your help.
There are two dance spaces in the new studio, and we need names for each space. “Studio A” and “Studio B” are too boring. “Big Studio” and “Little Studio” are too unimaginative. “This One” and “That One” are too confusing.
Please help!
Post your studio name ideas to the comments section. We’ll choose our favorites, and then take a poll to let you decide!

How about ‘Cairo’ and ‘Nile’ … or ‘Shooq’ and ‘Shafiqah?’ And since we’re trying to get away from boring, how about, instead of ‘Central,’ we call the studio ‘Central Casino?’

How about Samia and Naima after Samia Gamal and Naima Akef two famous bellydancers.

Mirage and Oasis. Or Sawah and Shaskin… or some other classic songs

All great suggestions so far! Another possibility might be Qamar and Shams - the words for ‘moon’ and ‘sun’ in Arabic. There are all sorts of variations on their transliterations, which can be investigated if SDC is interested in them. Either that or any soothing words that would set the tone. Thanks for opening this up for suggestions! I’m looking forward to dancing with everyone in the new studio. :)

Anisah (Aneesa) and Zaina (Zeina, Zaynah) are Arabic names meaning “good friend” and “beautiful” respectively. I think these would be fitting names for the new studios because the Sahara Dance community not only fosters and produces beautiful dancers, but good friends and sisters as well. I also like the “A to Z” aspect of the names as well :)
