Bellydance Evolution is a world-class dance festival & performance, featuring top artists in the field of Middle Eastern dance & music. Each artist brings his or her own unique style to the event, making this an extraordinary collection of diverse styles of dance & music. These master instructors share their art with students and professionals in a special workshop series, and the troupe of artists perform in "Dark Side of the Crown," an amazing theatrical show like no other.

Bellydance at its Best with Jillina
Jillina presents a new choreography set to rich orchestral music. Jillina will teach Egyptian choreography with various combinations, and also provide options and inspiration for your own improvisation. In this workshop you will learn how to articulate your hips, as well as enhance your fluid and lyrical movements.

Sutras for Sati (Tribal Fusion) with Sharon Kihara
This class features a brand-new choreography created specifically for Intermediate/Advanced dancers. Class will start with a
warm-up and technical drills and break-down, and progress into a full-length fusion choreography. Previous belly dance, modern dance or other classical dance experience is helpful, but anyone with a spirit for adventure and challenge is absolutely welcome!

Get Funky with Bellydance Hip Hop
Add some funk to your tribal belly dance with hip hop moves straight from New York City!
This choreography is featured in the new "Dark Side of the Crown" Bellydance Evolution show. This dance covers moves that you can incorporate into your personal style. Learn slides, cobra chest circles, trapezius contractions, twist-o-flex, torso rotation, strobing snake arms, hand waves, Vogueing and barrel turns. Music composed by Paul Denlitir.

Bollywood Choreography with Louchia
Bollywood dance styles celebrate the upbeat and cheerful music from the leading film industry of India. In this workshop, Louchia will combine traditional and Western-influenced dance moves set to eclectic Bollywood soundtracks. The articulation and specificity of hands, legs, arms and chest make Bollywood dancing a unique and energetic form of dance that everyone can enjoy.

Belly Breakdown with Heather Aued
Fundamental Bellydance Technique and Combinations.
Learn the fundamental isolations and hip movements that make belly dance so unique. Give special attention to proper body placement (inspired by ballet) to enrich and empower your dance, and condition your body for a long-lasting dance career. Heather will break down movements, then build them back up into exciting new combinations, with some turns, kicks and fancy tricks thrown in for fun.

Evolution of the Drum with Ozzy
Ozzy will teach various rhythms and drumming technique for any type of Arabic drum (darbuka, duf), riqq, or zills. This class is excellent for all levels. Beginners will learn basic technique and rhythms. Advanced students will learn combinations from the drum solo. The whole class will come together to play one of the most exciting parts of the New "Bellydance Evolution- Dark Side of
the Crown" show!
