Discover the timeless beauty and joy of this organic dance! No previous experience is necessary, and all body types and fitness levels are welcome. This course is designed for students new to belly dance or seeking a belly dance refresher.

Join us for a fun workout while making new friends and learning beautiful, sensual movements. Students will learn basic technique including lifted stance and posture, shimmies, isolations, undulations and traveling steps. Class will include a brief introduction to the history, music, context and philosophy of belly dance. Come celebrate your femininity!

Beginner 1 covers belly dance "A to Z" as a full 15 or 16 week semester. The full semester teaches the complete Beginner 1 curriculum, including both the Aziza and Zeina choreographies (thus belly dance "A to Z").

Beginner 1 class can also be taken as an 8-week, half-term class. The half semester includes only half of the curriculum (either the Aziza or Zeina choreography, depending on the session).

Both options are designed to be an introduction to the joy of belly dance. Most students will only take Beginner 1 for 15 or 16 weeks, but all are welcome to repeat it as many times as they like!

Beginner 2 and Beginner 3 are where you develop your foundational technique to set yourself up for future success. Most students will take these levels 2-6 times each.

Perfect for anyone who wants to explore the world of belly dance and learn the basic techniques, movements, and rhythms. Belly dance is a beautiful dance form that helps you connect with your body, improve your posture, and build strength and flexibility.

In this class, you will learn a variety of moves such as hip circles, shimmies, figure eights, hip lifts and how to walk like a belly dancer. Start with a warm-up to get your body ready for the dance and practice alignment, and then move on to the basic techniques. We will break down each movement step-by-step, so you can master them one by one.

Learn how to use your core muscles and control your breath, essential body awareness for belly dance. You will learn to move with grace and fluidity and express yourself through the dance and artistry.

Come join us and discover the joy of belly dance! Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely, and bring a water bottle and a positive attitude. We can't wait to dance with you!
