About this course

The Sweat & Shimmy series will guide you through the lively world of belly dance, starting with basic steps and advancing to exciting movements. Dynamic lessons enhance your stamina, coordination, and flexibility while learning foundational rhythms of the dance. Open to all levels.

Choose from a curated sequence featuring the rhythms of a particular area of the Middle East in either mini (30 minute), medium (45 minute), or full length (1 hour) format for a guided practice, or use the mix and match lessons to create your own dance practice.

Please Note:
  1. There is no prescribed order for working through the mix and match lessons. Work through them however you wish.
  2. Clicking on the Complete Lesson button will record that you have completed it and take you to the next lesson. This can be helpful when you return to the course and need a reminder of where you left off. On the other hand, if you want to scan through the combinations without marking them as completed, navigate through them using the sidebar navigation.
