Enjoy an end-of-summer weekend getaway, filled with belly dance, yin yoga, meditation, and relaxation in nature. This all-inclusive, special retreat is led by Rachel Kay Brookmire, founder and director of Sahara Dance, and includes home-cooked vegetarian meals, lovely accommodations, and guided programming designed to offer women of all movement backgrounds an intimate experience exploring dance, yin yoga and mindfulness meditation. No dance, meditation or yoga experience required and all levels welcome!  Classes will be tailored to engage all experience levels.
 
Come rejuvenate your body and mind. Experiment with playful, heart-centered dance and mindfulness themes to develop grace and gentleness in your movement practice. Stretch, open and align your body with yin yoga. Deepen your awareness and center yourself through mindfulness meditation. Strengthen your dance training with slow, stretchy flow sequences and playful, upbeat combinations. Escape the bustle of city living and decompress with laughter, shimmies and nature.

The retreat is tailored to create space for enjoying reflection, playful movement, nature and community. Dancers are welcome to partake in all of daily programming, or just participate in portions of class and relax overlooking the river, enjoy the retreat center or explore at your leisure. Design your own retreat to best suit your personal inspiration and rejuvenation!  Replenish the mind and spirit through a light, fun weekend of recharging the body by the river.

5:00 pm Belly Dance Combos (all levels) & Soft, Slow and Stretchy Belly Dance
6:30 pm Dinner
8:00 pm Bonfire & Tea
 
Saturday
7:30 am Coffee, Tea and Fruit
8:00 am Yin Yoga with Mindfulness Meditation
9:00 am Belly Dance Combos (all levels)
10:30 am Brunch
12:00 pm Hike, Swim in Pool, Canoe, Excursion or Relax Overlooking the River
5:00 pm Soft, Slow and Stretchy Belly Dance
6:30 pm Dinner
8:30 pm Spa Yin Yoga (Candlelit, ends with chocolate)
